Trent on Trump “He’s Everything I Hate in People”

In a recent interview with The Village Voice, Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor spoke in depth about his love and adoration for Donald Trump, singing his praises and hailing him as the greatest thing since peanut butter. JUST KIDDING. It should be no surprise that the singer does not think highly of the President, to say the least. When asked what he thought of the leader and how he felt he could relate to the public, Reznor had this to say: “Clearly I find it…disheartening.  When you’re not in an urban environment, you often feel left out of the conversation, and I get that. I grew up in that.”  Despite his personal feelings, Reznor insists that he tries to remain composed when speaking to his son about weighed issues.  Recently he says that his son overheard a news outlet speaking ill of the President, asking if he was a “bad guy.” “Look,” the singer responded carefully, “I don’t think he’s a good guy. Some people do.  I don’t think he believes in science and I don’t think he believes people should be treated decently and I don’t think he tells the truth. That’s why I don’t like him.”

Reznor was far more unfiltered however, when asked what he truly thought of the commander in chief. “It’s tough, because the president of the United States is a complete fucking moron.  That’s what gets me the most — that he’s this vulgar, grotesque dope, everything I hate in people.”

Oh, that Trent. He’s never been one to mince words before, what makes anyone think he would start now?  And on that note, let’s take a peak at the past and look back at the (almost) always politically conscious Mr. Reznor and NIN in their song “Survivalism.”
