After shocking the world with the release of “King’s Dead”, featuring Kendrick Lamar, Future, and James Blake, Jay Rock revealed the completion of his third studio album on 92.3 The Real ‘s After Party show in Los Angeles. Rock was visiting Party to discuss not only “King’s Dead”, but also the upcoming Black Panther soundtrack. It was while discussing this soundtrack that he opened up regarding his upcoming album and solo effort as a whole: “The album is done. I just had a minor little setback. I was in an accident, you know? I was just healing up, and when I healed up, I just locked in the studio… Minor setback for a major comeback… It’s already done. It’s mixed up. It’s ready to go. It’s the business as far as getting things cleared and of that nature, but it’s ready to go.” The interview concluded without Rock sharing the title to this album, nor a release date. It’s being predicted to drop following the Black Panther soundtrack has had it’s time in the spotlight.
